Emma, will you sponsor me?

Emma

Hi, my name is Emma and I am one very lucky little lady. I don't remember alot of what happened to me, but I do know I was on my own for a very long time. I think I had to sleep under cars because I had motor oil all over me. My fur had grown out so much and was so matted that I could barely walk and I had thorns in the fur on my belly so it hurt to lie down. Then I got attacked by a big dog (I think) and I had a hole in the top of my head and another one under my chin. They were bleeding and they hurt alot. I thought it could not get much worse and I was about to give up.

Then an angel (well, not really, but to me he was) picked me up and brought me to some very nice ladies. One of the ladies pulled the matted hair from in front of my eyes and said, "I see you in there!" and I knew I was gonna be ok.

Then they cleaned me up and dressed my wounds and gave me some food and water. It felt so good to be able to lie down and not have it hurt. But I was still in very bad shape. One of the ladies took me home with her and nursed me back to health. Then another lady came with her dog Dudley (another Lhasa who looks just like me!) and took me home with her and that's where I am now. I sure do love Dudley and my new foster mom.

She thinks I should stay right here because I still have problems that need special care. I had Erlichia and it is unknown how much it damaged my organs and I have bad knees that I have to be real careful with or I'll have to have a very painful operation. Plus I have dry eye which will need medicine for the rest of my life. And I'm an older gal. Really only 8, but still very weak, so I act much older. Because of the Erlichia, I have to go to the vet more than healthy dogs, so maybe you can see it in your heart to help with my bills. Plus my eye medicine is expensive! Thank you! I'm gonna go back to sleep now. Still catching up on my beauty rest, you know. It feels so good to be safe and loved!

[the $1.00 option is a nice way for children to make a donation and know they are making a difference in the life of a rescue dog]
